A New Record – On February 16, in the Latest Express Entry Draws, Canada has Invited 1082 PNP Candidates

In the new draw, only PNP Candidates are invited by IRCC-Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the cut-off Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score were 710 which is so high because a big total of 600 points are added automatically when the nomination is issued by the province.

This is the third consecutive time where the PNP draw has broken out the previous draw’s number of invitations issued.

There is a gradual increase in the number of invites for PNP candidates as the previous draw invited or included 1070 PNP candidates.

Now, the candidates who have received the invite are having a time period of 60 days to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence.

The number of ITA’s issued is also moderate in the same period.

Express Entry Levels 2022-2024

Canada is looking forward to taking in 55, 900 immigrants through Express Entry managed programs in the current year, The 2022-2024 Immigration Levels plan of Canada which was released on February 14, states that the above-mentioned admissions of immigrants will not include the 83, 500 PNP immigrants who are also awaited by Canada, also those immigrants will not only be invited through Canada Express entry Program.

The targets for the new Express entry draws are only half of the past multi-year Levels plan that actually sought.

Canada’s estimated number of immigrants in the year 2021 was 1, 08,500.

The next year’s targets for the express entry draws are also low compared to the earlier target of 75, 750.

The targets would return back to the usual level in the year 2024, when Canada is likely to admit 1, 11,500 immigrants through express entry.

Having said that the targets for 2023 will probably change in the upcoming months, The Federal election held in September was the reason for the delay in targets says the Immigration Minister, also included the next multi-year immigration levels plan will be tabled by November 1.

To enable IRCC to process and clear the backlogged applications, Canada reduced the targets. As of February 01, there is still more number of express entry applications on the track that exceeds the target that Canada has to meet for the year.

The reduction of targets is also to enable IRCC to process the applications for (TR2PR) Temporary residence to Permanent residence with a major focus to retain and settle the 40,000 afghan refugees.

What is Express Entry?

The timeless and efficient way to get a Canadian PR is via Express Entry, a point-based immigration program that manages applications for the key Canadian Immigration Programs such as the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program regulated by Canadian Government where an applicant can submit his profile through an online portal.

The comprehensive ranking system (CRS) is used as a ranking tool to analyze a candidate’s profile and award points accordingly. The top-scoring candidate will receive an ITA (Invitations to apply) for permanent residence. Once the application is reviewed by an IRCC officer the applicant will be asked for biometrics and also schedule an interview to proceed further. Thereafter on approving the application the applicant will receive a confirmation known as COPR (Confirmation of permanent residence) from IRCC, on receiving COPR an immigrant can complete the landing process by taking in the pre-arrival services to settle in the new land –Canada.

Oliver who is 34 years holds a master’s degree, with a work experience of 10 years as a database analyst. His IELTS score was 7.5 and 6.5 respectively in the required category. He entered the express entry pool in the year 2020, and also submitted an EOI expression of interest to the Canadian province of Saskatchewan through the International Skilled Worker, Saskatchewan Express Entry stream. His CRS score was 360. Oliver was invited to apply for provincial nomination shortly on submitting his profile to Saskatchewan. Now the score rose to 960. Finally, he is invited to apply for permanent residence in the new express entry draw.
