IRCC classified Occupations under 6 TEER Categories as follows:

Who is Qualified as a Skilled Worker / Under Express Entry?

The Applicant's job that he/she has done in the past should come under the National Occupational Classification code (NOC) TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3. Express Entry manages applications for Permanent Residence under three programs:

• Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
• Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
• Federal Skilled Trades (FST)

Express Entry manages applications for Permanent Residence under programs such as the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), and Federal Skilled Trades (FST). These programs generally require work experience in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations along with other eligibility criteria:

• Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
• Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Program
• Federal Skilled Trades (FST) Program

High-Skilled and Low-Skilled Work

All the management occupations that fall under TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 are considered high-skilled work jobs. Any occupation that falls under TEER 4 or 5 is considered low-skilled work. For some occupations that fall under semi-skilled work, the National Occupational Classification Code Skill level for this work is classified as TEER 1, 2 or 3.

High-Skilled and Low-Skilled Work:

• The applicant should have work experience that has the TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to qualify for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.
• If the Applicant's job comes under TEER 4 or 5, they have several options to come, work and settle in Canada. Those Applicants can apply under any of the programs mentioned below.
• If the Applicant is a TEER 4 category worker, they can apply through the Intermediate-Skilled Program of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. (Need TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 to apply under the High-Skilled Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program)
• The Applicant can migrate to Canada under Certain Provincial Nomination Programs like the Northwest Territory PNP, the Yukon PNP, the Prince Edward Island PNP(PEI), and others.
• Also, the applicant can come to Canada as a Temporary Resident and work for up to 2 Years and later immigrate to Canada permanently.
