1031 Candidates are invited by Manitoba to apply for provincial nomination in 2022.
Manitoba conducted a new immigration draw on February 10.
The split up of the number of invitations issued for the three different Provincial Nomination Programs are here under;
Skilled Workers in Manitoba -202 Invitations with a minimum score of 615,
Skilled Workers Overseas -31 Invitations with a minimum score of 705,
International educational Stream -40 Invitations without any score requirement
Out of these invitations, 68 invitations were issued to candidates in the express entry system.
Manitoba Immigration Program MPNP
No Canadian province can directly issue out the status of permanent residence to an applicant but can support along by inviting candidates through Provincial Nomination. For this phase of nomination, Manitoba manages the immigration draws through the immigration program- MPNP.
How MPNP Works?
The Manitoba nomination requires an applicant to register an expression of Interest (EOI) with MPNP. This can help in receiving the letter of advice to apply known as LAA for the two major streams of immigration programs called the skilled workers in Manitoba and skilled workers overseas stream .Manitoba, on assessing the candidates profile based on the requirements of the province and their human capital factors ranks them out for a total of 1000 points.
Both the streams are formulated in such a way to pick up candidates identifying the labor market needs of the province.
The overseas candidates for their applications to stand eligible need not be living in Manitoba, but they are obligated to show the connections with Manitoba such as being called or liked by close family ties or any previous experience in the province or through an invitation of Manitoba’s strategic recruitment Initiatives.
Skilled Workers Manitoba Category strongly demands a full time job offer from a provincial employer.
The International graduates who have completed their education in Manitoba by expressing their in demand skills can receive an invitation under the International education stream.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry, a point based immigration program that manages applications for the key Canadian Immigration Programs such as Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program regulated by the Canadian Government where an applicant can submit his profile through an online portal.
The Comprehensive ranking system CRS is used as a ranking tool to analyze a candidate’s profile and award points accordingly. The points are awarded based on the basic eligibility factors such as age, education and work experience and language proficiency. The top scoring candidate will receive an ITA (Invitations to apply) for permanent residence. Once the application is reviewed by an IRCC officer the applicant will be asked for biometrics and also schedule an interview to proceed further. Thereafter on approving the application the applicant will receive a confirmation known as COPR (Confirmation of permanent residence) from IRCC, on receiving COPR an immigrant can complete the landing process by taking in the pre-arrival services to settle in the new land –Canada.
There is also a possibility of receiving the invitation to apply for permanent residence directly by applying through Express entry. But PNP nomination is so advantageous that it automatically attracts a big total of 600 points which will be added to the CRS score of the applicant, this subsequently increases the chances of receiving ITA, this is the reason why PNP nomination carries high importance than the normal draw.
