- applicant was Sponsored by a Spouse/Partner and became a permanent Resident in the past 5 years. (But they can sponsor child)
- applicant is still Responsible for Previous Spouse or Partner who they already sponsored in the past 3 years (They can sponsor child)
- applicant was convicted of attempting any offence against a relative, Violent Criminal offence, any Sexual Offence even Outside Canada.
- applicant under Removal Order
- applicant in jail or Prison
- applicant declared bankruptcy or didn’t pay an immigration loan, a performance bond, court-ordered family support payments.
- applicant Failed to Keep up the promise(Undertaking) when they sponsoring the previous person.

Income Requirements
There are no income requirements to sponsor a Spouse, Common-law Partner, Conjugal partner, or dependent child. However, the Applicant needs to show income incase if their spouse/partner or child has their own dependant child.
Who can You sponsor?
- Legally married Same or Opposite sex spouse who is at least 18 years old. Marriage should be legally performed in Canada or if performed outside Canada, It should be legally recognized by that country where it took place.
- Same or Opposite sex Common-law partner who is at least 18 years old and have lived/have been living with you for consecutive 12 months in a marriage-like relationship
- A conjugal partner who is at least 18 years old. Your relationship with your partner should real and genuine. Not just about the physical relationship but a genuine interdependent relationship for consecutive 12 months.
- Dependent children who are less than 22 years old and don’t have a spouse or common-law partner or Financially dependent children who are more than even 22 years and unable to support themselves because of mental or physical problems.
Sponsor Parents or Grandparents

Income Requirements
For sponsoring parents and grandparents there are some basic income requirements based on how many peoples in your family. You must include yourself and all family members and the person you wish to sponsor and their family members who will live with you. You should also mention your previous sponsored person and his/her family details incase if that undertaking and sponsorship agreement still in effect.
To prove your income you need to get a notice from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the past 3 years before you submit the application. Based on the applicant’s approval IRCC will get notice of assessment directly from CRA .

Who can You sponsor?
