The Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) self-employed farmer stream invites skilled and willing individuals who are ready to operate or own farmland and highly contribute to the provinces’ economic growth.
Eligibility Criteria for Alberta Self-employed Farmer Stream
- Must provide valid proof of financial documents on existing farmland and its allied business.
- Must submit relevant proof of education, training, and work experience.
- Must submit a well-structured action plan on carrying out the farm management business in Alberta.
- Must provide all valid documents on a Canadian financial institution’s willingness to support the farmland business.
- The applicant must be able to invest a minimum amount of CAD 500,000 in the respective farm business and also show a minimum net worth of CAD 500,000 funds or its equivalent finance.
- Must provide document off interest in investment over the farmland business.
- Must get prepared to attend an in-person interview with Alberta’s government official who will determine the eligibility range of the concerned applicant.

Step by Step process of Alberta Provincial Nominee Program Evaluation
- Create an Express Entry Profile by providing proper details on criteria like basic information, educational and work qualification.
- To prove your educational qualification you need to undergo the Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) both for Express Entry and Alberta Immigration Nominee Program.
- You must give the IELTS (CLB) test and must score a minimum of 7 out of 10 to prove your language ability skill.
- If your primary or first language is French, then you need to undergo Test Evaluation in French (TEF). Candidates who possess proficiency in more than one language will be awarded extra points.
- After you have created the Express Entry profile it will get validated by the concerned IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) officers and they provided a respective CRS score for your profile.
- If your CRS score is good enough you will be placed in higher ranks of Express Entry or Alberta Immigration Program and your process will be carried out swiftly either your name would not get listed out during the date of the announcement.
