Also referred to as Federal Skilled Worker Class, this program is one of Canada’s flagship immigration avenues for skilled workers. Every year Canada accepts thousands of candidates under this program who can be a valuable addition to the country’s workforce and contribute to the economy.

Candidates can get qualified under this program if they fall under any of the following categories:

  • The applicant must have at least one year of full-time work experience. The work experience should be relevant to the job you are applying for in Canada. If you have only part-time work experience, the number of hours should be equal to that of one year of full-time work experience.
  • The job you apply for must fall under any one of the 347 listed jobs according to the National Occupational Classification System (NOCS), and their experience is classified according to Skill 0, A, and B.
  • The applying candidate must get cleared on a point basis for all the parameters under which they are evaluated, plus they must also prove their language proficiency by scoring better points according to their skillset and education level.
  • Must have enough settlement funds and also provide a valid medical examination and police verification certificate.
