Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada conducted its recent draw on August 18, 2025, for its Provincial Nominee Program Candidates. The two major criteria that were expected of the Candidates were that the profile should have been created on or before 7:17 PM UTC of February 11, 2025, in the Express Entry pool. The second was the CRS points cutoff, which marked a minimum of 800 or above.
Having conducted 4 draws in August 2025, the recent draw was the second draw that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada had conducted for its PNP Candidates. Though the current cutoff score ranks the second-highest as per the records for this year, about 192 ITAs were sent out to the candidates.
This is a quick recap of the draws conducted under each category. In total, 53,320 ITAs have been provided so far in 2025 for candidates around the globe to claim their place as a Canadian permanent resident. There have been a total of 31 draws conducted since the start of this year, in which 15 draws were conducted for PNP Candidates, 8 draws under the Canadian Experience Class, 4 draws for French-language Proficiency, 3 draws under the Healthcare & Social service and 1 draw for applicants under the Education stream.
With the Canadian job market still wanting many more Skilled professionals, the IRCC is focused on picking the right candidates based on the requirements of their country. Also, one other key factor to be taken into consideration is that the candidates in the Canada Express Entry under the PNP Category have been highly focused compared to the other streams and pathways. This shows that if you're a temporary resident residing in Canada, working in a high-demand job profile like Healthcare, Education, IT, and so on, your chances of making your Permanent resident dream a reality are right around the corner.
