Express Entry Canadian Experience Class Candidates Invited in the Latest Draw

IRCC has once again invited candidates through the Express Entry system to maintain its steady flow of immigration selections in 2025.

On September 3, 2025, IRCC issued 1,000 ITAs under the Canadian Experience Class. Candidates were required to have a CRS score of 534 to qualify. They were also required to have created their Express Entry profile before 8:28 AM on August 14, 2025.

This is the second CEC-specific draw in less than a month, which reinforces the ongoing efforts of Canada. These efforts are to retain skilled workers who have already gained valuable work experience in the country.

Recent Express Entry Draws

The latest draw followed a Provincial Nominee Program draw on September 2. This draw invited 249 candidates with a high CRS cut-off of 772. Earlier in August, IRCC held category-based draws for healthcare and social services professionals as well as French-language proficiency candidates. This reflected the labour market priorities and the diversity goals of Canada.

What does the September 3 CEC Draw mean?

The CRS cut-off of 534 for the latest CEC draw is competitive but attainable for those having strong profiles. This is particularly for international graduates and skilled workers who are already in Canada. These Candidates will benefit from their work experience, education credentials and English or French language skills.

Category-based selections in healthcare, education and French-based proficiency are some of the excellent opportunities for overseas applicants. Candidates having lower CRS scores than the usual CEC thresholds may succeed through these targeted draws.

With over 57,000 ITAs issued so far this year, Express Entry continues to be the most efficient immigration pathway for Canada.

Express Entry in the Coming Months

Experts anticipate that IRCC will continue alternating between PNP, CEC and category-based draws in the coming months. CRS thresholds are expected to fluctuate depending on pool size and the labour market needs of Canada.

Aspiring immigrants must focus on strengthening their profiles by improving language scores and gaining Canadian work experience or get a provincial nomination to increase the chances.
