The Canadian government's new announcement is to ensure that international students are secure during their stay in Canada. This financial threshold covers the living expenses, tuition fees, and transportation. So the Canadian government will increase the amount to CAN $22,895, from $20,635. This can help the candidate who does not want to rely on working in Canada. If the family members like parents, spouses, or children, the amount will increase according to the number of people in the family.
The students who are willing to study in Quebec have to follow the rules set by the Ministry of Immigration. Here, immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated its proof of financial requirements for the international students' study visa.

Higher financial threshold for the application in 2025
The financial threshold requirement for a single applicant will increase to CAN$22,895 per year. This will increase from the first threshold of CAN$20,635. The amount gets increased depending on the number of accompanying family members.
