Canada has come up with an online portal to check the application status of the spousal and sponsorship applicants.
The tracker can be used by both the applicants and the representatives; you can find this tracker on the Government website, as of now, this is accessible only to the people who are applying for spousal, common law, and dependent child sponsorship.
This was emerged as an effort to technically improvise the Canadian immigration system by giving more accessibility to the immigrant applicants, says -The Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser while announcing the launch of the tracker at the beginning of this week.
IRCC mentions a note in the online form with regard to the information on the tracker which is subject to change with respect to the final decisions of Immigration and IRCC officers, it also includes, the tracker information can sometimes be delayed or show a difference between the actual status and progress in the application.
The launch of the online tracker is developed as the government understands the need of clients, who deserve to get easier access and updates of their application, the government also assured over a media release that it is also aiming to develop a tracker for permanent residence application in February 2022 for spouses and dependents to make it simple in the hands of the applicants to be aware of their application status.
For the future immigrants, the Government has planned to expand more online applications during this summer; raising the practice of more online application processing can eventually bring down the processing times than the paper application process.
The release also stated that the government with its efforts to reduce the lag in processing time for new spousal sponsorship has resumed back to its usual standard of 12 months.
