IRCC recently released the processing time for Canada Temporary Visa applicants. The list didn’t show an increase in the waiting time.
These were some of the categories that will be processed faster :
- Super visas:
- Applications are processed five weeks faster in the Philippines.
- Applications are processed three weeks faster in the US.
- Study permits: The processing time saw a delay of more than 4 weeks than usual for applications from Pakistan.
- Visitor visas are being processed faster for applicants from India.
- Work permit processing time has slightly improved for applications from Pakistan and the United States.
All the countries saw a good improvement in the super visas processing times.
The visitor visas also provided a faster processing time for all countries except the Philippines.

These details will be compared with the previously updated data as of March 11th.
Every month, the processing times will be updated for permanent residence and citizenship. The last update was on March 9, and the next update is expected around April 9.
Work permits
Processing times in this category have either become faster or remained the same since March 11. The biggest improvement was seen in applications from Pakistan and the United States, with a one-week reduction in processing time.

Study permits:
In this category, Pakistan had seen a good improvement with the processing times becoming faster by 4 weeks. In Canada, the applications saw an improvement of one week.

In the super visa category, many countries had their processing times increased either in a small time or largely.
In the Philippines, there was a large improvement in the processing times being quicker by 5 weeks.
In the United States, the processing time improved by three weeks.

Processing Times and Service Standards
From the data provided by IRCC about the recent changes in processing time, gives out some major information approximately. It helps in knowing the final decision of an application submitted will be approved or rejected.
Once the application is receive the processing begins and then ends when a final decision is made. There may be variations according to the time in which the applications were submitted by applicants.

IRCC is the one who sets the service standards. Initially, IRCC may think processing different applications within a given time period. But it may also extend, if the case is complex
The processing time targets are given for almost all applications types. But at times extension may happen due to :
