Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream, the applicants need to fulfill all the following criteria, which include.

1. Age Requirement

   The applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 59 years old to apply for the New Brunswick Immigration Stream.

2. Education Qualification

   Under this requirement, the candidates must have at least 2 years of post-graduation education after high school education. Without this eligibility, you cannot apply for this stream.

3. Language Efficiency

   Those who intend to apply for this stream must score a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 5 in either French or English. The applicants will be considered as ineligible if they fail to meet this requirement.

4. Management of Business

   The applicants need to show the intention to reside and operate a business in New Brunswick. They need to assume a day-to-day management role in the business. You need to have at least 3 years of experience in owning or operating a business of at least 33.3%, or 5 years of experience in a senior management role.

5. Requirement of Net Worth

   The applicants must have a personal net worth of $600,000 CAD from which $300,000 should be kept unaffected by debts or other commitments.

6. Business Plan

   The applicants must provide a proper business plan which shows how their business will benefit New Brunswick. This plan should be officially approved by the government of New Brunswick. While developing the business plan, the applicants must demonstrate how they conduct extensive research and how they considered all the market, economic, and cultural factors. Candidates may get the greatest points of 25 for the business elements. The length of the business concept must be 1000 to 1500 words, and it needs to be submitted with the EOI.

7. Score Points

   The Candidate needs to score at least 65 points on the selection grid of New Brunswick, which will assess the candidate, business potential, experience, and other elements.

Application Process of New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream

Submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI)

This is the first process in applying for the New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream. The applicant needs to ensure that they fulfill all the requirements: an Education qualification, Age, language skills, financial requirements, and business experience. And you should have a minimum requirement like

• The applicants should visit New Brunswick for a minimum of 5 business days in the 12 months.
• Applicant or their spouse should have a diploma or certificate from a post-secondary institution in New Brunswick.
• The family members of your or your spouse must reside in New Brunswick for at least 12 months.

Preparation of Business Plan

Interview (if needed)

The applicants may be asked to attend an interview with the program officers. This is done to confirm the information in your application, and to estimate your business plan’s knowledge. A poor performance in the interview may result in rejection of your application.

Application of Nomination and Permanent Residence

The applicants will get a provincial nomination program certificate if they are nominated by the New Brunswick. Thai certificate will remain valid for 9 months from the date of issue. Within 6 months, the applicants of this business need to submit a complete application for Canadian permanent residence to IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
