Kelowna 2026 FCIP: Intake Periods and Recommendations
Kelowna will have seven application periods under the FCIP in 2026. The first intake period will begin in June.
There is a specific period when every employer can send their recommended candidates to the SDECB. This takes place between the 15th and 30th of each month. Employers can recommend three candidates.

About the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot
The Francophone Community Immigration started in 2025 and is a 5-year program. This program aims to help non-French-speaking people to shift to Quebec.
To be a part of this program, the applicants are expected to meet the following criteria :
- Provide a copy of the job offer letter
- Should have French language skills
After the candidate gets a job, they will be eligible for a recommendation under FCIP. But the candidate must have got a job from the required sector.
Once the recommendation is approved, the applicant will apply to Canada’s immigration for becoming a PR.
The additional requirements the candidates must have are :
- Having at least 3 years of experience for the job role applying
- If a job offer is in a TEER 0 or 1 role, the applicant must have experience in jobs that are TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
- If a job offer is in a TEER 2 role, the applicant must have experience in jobs that are TEER 1, 2, 3 or 4
- If a job offer is in a TEER 3 or 4 role, the applicant must have experience in jobs that are TEER 2, 3 or 4
- If a job offer is in a TEER 5 role, the applicant must have experience in the same five-digit NOC code.
- Should at least have a Canadian high school diploma
- Have enough funds to support oneself, starting with $10,507 for a single person.
- If a person already working in Canada with a permit does not need to provide fund details
