Express Entry: CEC candidates invited at lowest cut-off score in 18 months

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Department of Canada has released invitations to apply under the Express Entry system.

In total, 4,000 ITAs were published by the immigration department for the draw taking place for Canadian Experience Class candidates.

To be eligible for this draw, the applicant must be eligible for the following : 

  • Should have a minimum score of  507 in the Comprehensive Ranking System
  • Must have created an Express Entry candidate profile before 6:57 p.m., Universal Coordinated Time on May 11, 2025.

The draw which is happening today, will be :   

  • Sixteenth draw taking place in 2026 under Express Entry selection and 
  • The fifth CEC draw this year.

Draws taking place under the Canadian Experience Class have been known to be frequent draws so far in 2026. It also falls under the category of issuing by far the largest number of ITAs. In numbers, it is 28,000 ITAs.

The Express Entry draws taking place this year in 2026 have seen that the Canadian immigration division is giving more focus on candidates within the country. Their main focus is on those who have provincial nominations or Canadian work experience.
