IRCC issues 3,000 invitations in latest Canadian Experience Class draw

A Busy Week for Express Entry

On Jun 26, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its second Express Entry draw of this week. For this draw, IRCC have issued 3000 Invitations to apply (ITAs) to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. This clearly indicates the increase in invitations and activity of the Express Entry system, which may be in demand. This week's target trend is for the category of CEC, where the activities are on hiatus during the previous draw trends.

The latest conducted draw’s minimum CRS score was set at 521, which shows a slight decrease in the score from the previous draw for CEC conducted on June 12, 2025. The score for the previous draw was set with a cut-off of 529.

Summary of June Express Entry Activity

This year, June has been the busiest month, filled with conducting back-to-back Express Entry draws. For this month, already, the  six rounds of invitations have been given, including:

  • June 26: CEC – 3,000 ITAs with CRS of 521
  • June 23: PNP – 503 ITAs with CRS of 742
  • June 12: CEC – 3,000 ITAs with CRS of 529
  • June 10: PNP – 125 ITAs with CRS of 784
  • June 4: Healthcare and Social Services – 500 ITAs with CRS of 504
  • June 2: PNP – 277 ITAs with CRS of 726

It is notable that, back-to-back CEC draws are conducted for the month of June, even suppressing the PNP ITAs.

A Shift in Draw Trends?

With the latest draws conducted, we can clearly see that there is a shift in the trends of the draw. At the beginning of the year 2025, IRCC completely focused on the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, and this trend continued till early June. While speaking precisely, 11 draws have been conducted from February to early June under this PNP stream alone. While draws conducted for the CEC were relatively fewer, a total of 6 draws have been conducted so far this year.

From February to early June, the number of invitations received by CEC candidates is low when compared to PNP candidates and category-based Candidates. The other category-based candidates include French-language proficiency, healthcare workers, educators, and others with in-demand skills.

But the last draws, we can see that IRCC is rebalancing the draw types, where from the last two draws, 6000 ITAs have been, which is the highest number of ITAs when compared to other draw types.

Profile Cut-Off and Eligibility

As of June 26 CEC draw, the candidates must have:

  • A minimum CRS score of 521
  • An Express Entry profile created before 3:56 p.m. UTC on November 21, 2024

The score is comparatively high due to the high demand among the pool of candidates. However, there is a slight drop in the score when checked with earlier draws, which can be a sign of future opportunities for CEC candidates with lower scores.

Year-to-Date: 41,845 ITAs Issued

From 2025 until now, IRCC has issued 41,845 ITAs across all Express Entry categories. Through the outcomes from the draw, we can see the sign of frequent draws conducted for the CEC category. With this, we can predict that the upcoming draw may have more opportunities for candidates with Canadian work experience. However, this may be the accurate prediction for the upcoming draw trends with this consistent shift.
Until the opportunity, the candidates must keep updating their profiles, keep their Express Entry profiles up-to-date, monitor draw trends closely, and prepare supporting documentation to receive the invitation.
