The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) handles six provincial immigration draws between February 6 and February 19, 2026. These draws covered different immigration types. During this moment, Alberta issued a total of 441 invitations through the following streams:
- Rural Community Stream
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Technology Pathway
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Security Pathway
- Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Industry Pathway

These recent draws included the first selection for manufacturing jobs under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, following the addition of manufacturing as a priority sector in January this year.
In addition to this, the Rural Renewal Stream, which happened on Feb 10, 2026 was the largest compared to the last two weeks. It was also the first draw held after new rules came into effect on January 1.
So these recently changed rules are suitable for candidates who stay in Canada with a proper work permit.
Provincial nomination figures for 2026
In 2026, the AAIP was given 6,403 provincial nomination spaces from the federal government. According to the February 18, 2026, program’s processing update reports:

The AAIP reports that there are 45,698 worker EOIs in the selection pool across all its streams and programs.
